What to serve with a potato/mushroom/cheese bake dish?
I am making it for dinner (just me and my husband) but it doesn't seem like enough. What should I serve with it? Please be specific and give me recipes! No meat or fish please.
Sorry to dissapoint, but we are most decidedly not vegetarians... we almost ALWAYS eat meat, which is why I am having so much trouble trying to come up with a dairy meal that is hearty enough to satisfy carnivores!
Try some greenbean salad. You use a can of french-cut green beans(drained), 2 granny smith apples slliced thin, 1 cup of chopped walnuts, for a glaze use 1 cup of Karo syrup, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/3 cup of dijon mustard. To prepare you just mix the green beans, apples and walnuts and chill. Then for the glaze mix the syrup, sugar, and mustard in a small pot over low heat until it starts to bubble, pour over salad and chill for 30 mins. Serve chilled.
