is my molly about to drop?
last night my molly had a massive poo then a tear drop shape drop of blood came out then loads of watery blood started spewing out, and she was breathing really heavily, i put her in the nursery. should i have done this?
she didn't have any babies last night.
what should i expect?
That doesn't sound like a normal birth process. You should definitely keep her in the nursery until she recovers, but it sounds like she either ruptured something, or the babies died inside her and must be expelled.
If you don't already, add salt (1 round tbsp / 5 gallons) to her water, disolved first in dechlor water. You could also add some stress-coat.
Provide lots of plants (real or silk) for cover.
